Barb J. Samardzich, Vice President of Powertrain Engineering of Ford Motor Company, talked with Warren Brown from the Washington Post and myself about women and engineers.
When Samardzich graduated from engineering college five percent of her class were women. Felicia Fields, Ford’s Group Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate said that 18 percent of Ford’s engineers are women.
Are there any programs to bring more women into the engineering field?
Since this video Barb Samardzich has been appointed Ford Motor Company’s vice president, Global Product Programs.
