2008 Chevrolet Tahoe two-mode hybrid

Bob Walczyk, Product Manager, Chevy Tahoe, Suburban and Avalanche takes us on a ride in General Motor’s two-mode hybrid. The Tahoe air conditioning runs even when the car is in full  electric-only mode because the air conditioning off a 300 volt air compressor

The 5.3-liter internal combustion engine only Tahoe gets 14 city/23 highway, while the two-mode hybrid gets 20city/21 highway, a 25 percent improvement.

The Tahoe comes standard with a remote start – just remember – the remote runs on gasoline!!!
