2008 Ford Escape Mercury Mariner

Eric Loeffler, the chief engineer for Ford Motor Co., talks about the all-new 2008 Ford Escape Mercury Mariner. Many new features make up the 08 models, such as; all-new sheet metal exterior, power steering, and ice blue dash lighting.

The fuel economy has also gone up, with help from a more aerodynamic design, and the availability of a hybrid model. The gas model gets a 28MPG freeway, while the hybrid gets a 34-36MPG highway. It is also quieter, with a 15% improvement in sound reduction.
