2009 Audi A4 Avant sedan and wagon

Ibiza, Spain – Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President, Audi of America, talks about the Audi A4. What the A4 means to Audi, the new engines and when it will come to the United States.

    · Type: Sedan and Avant (wagon) body styles, both launching simultaneously in USA in September 2008.

    · Base Price: pricing is expected to be similar to the outgoing model (which is $28k to $38k).

    FSI direct injection

    Audi Valvelift System (AVS) variable intake valve lift

    265 horsepower “ 243 lb-ft torque (3000-5000 rpm)

    0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds

    · 2.0 TFSI 4-cyl specifications:

    FSI direct injection

    Audi Valvelift System (AVS) variable exhaust valve lift

    211 horsepower “ 258 lb-ft torque (1,500-4,200 rpm)

    · Drive: all-wheel drive

    · Competitors: BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class
