2009 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Convertible

2009 New York auto show- Jim McDowell, President MINI USA, takes me on a vehicle walkaround the
2009 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Convertible.

McDowell says there are less emissions, more performance, an automatic rollover bar and a convertible that opens or closes in fifteen seconds going 18 miles per hour or less.

The press release says the turbocharged 1.6-liter four cylinder engine JCW Convertible gets 34 mpg. The engine gives 208 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Including destination, the JCW Convertible starts at a hefty price of $34,950.

McDowell says the 2009 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Convertible will be in dealers showrooms in May, 2009.
