2014 BMW 328d, d as in diesel

New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)

BMW debuted the new 328d Sedan at the 2013 New York International Auto show. The 328d will feature BMWs 2.0-liter TwinPower diesel 4-cylinder engine. It produces 181 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, available from 1,750 rpm. It will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 328d Sedan will accelerate from 0 “ 60 mph in just over seven seconds.

The 328d Sedan will be available in rear-wheel drive and also with xDrive, BMWs advanced all-wheel-drive system. The sedans will be joined by the 328d xDrive Sports Wagon. All Three variants will arrive in the US showroom as 2014 models in the fall of 2013.

The 2014 BMW 328d has just been announced as one of the finalists to be named Green Car of the Year at the 2013 Los Angeles auto show.
