2015 Car and Truck of the Year on Driving the Nation

North American International Auto Show, Detroit, MI, Monday, January 12 – The three finalists for the 2015 North American Car of the Year are the Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis, and Volkswagen Golf. The three finalists for the 2015 North American Truck/Utility of the Year are the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford F-150, and Lincoln MKC.

Last years North American Car of the Year was the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

For the second time in NACTOYs history the Golf wins. The New Beetle won in 1999. The Golf was a finalist in 2010 but lost to the Ford Fusion Hybrid.

Ford has won 8 times under the truck umbrella and 4 times for the F-150.

Last years North American Truck/Utility of the Year was the Chevrolet Silverado.

Fifty-seven jurors (see below) from newspapers, television and radio stations, magazines and websites voted last week, sending their ballots to Deloitte, which kept the finalists secret until today.
