2015 VW Golf line-up through 2017 on Driving the Nation

Marc Trahan, executive vice president of quality for Volkswagen in the U.S, and Kevin Joostema, VW’s General Manager Product Marketing talked to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, Driving the Nation about the future line-up of the Golf.

Trahan went through the forty years of the Golf and Joostema talked about when the Golf variants would come out.

Hammond drove the Golf, GTI, TDI, e-golf and Golf S with sunroof. Volkswagen says it’s main competitors are the Ford Focus ST, the Subaru WRX and the Honda Civic.

The GTI comes out in June
The TSI comes out in August
The TDI comes out in August
The e-golf comes out in November. There will be a plug-in but the timing has not been announced.

In the first quarter of 2015 the Golf R and sportwagen come out.

There is no confirmation that they are bringing out the GTD in 2017 but there are rumors.

There is a launch edition for $17,995 – check it out “ it’s limited and only for 2014.
