2016 Toyota Prius Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

The all-new 2016 Toyota Prius has a safety technology called Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). DRCC is designed to be used exclusively on highways and similar roads.

This is not the normal way Kimatni drives. I asked my colleague Kimatni to watch his smartphone instead of looking like he was paying attention to the car. I wanted to show off the abilities of the DRCC.

The system slows or stops your vehicle when the preceding vehicle slows or stops. When the preceding vehicle speeds up, the system makes your vehicle accelerate accordingly, until it resumes the preset speed. The system slows your vehicle when the preceding vehicle slows down. The driver must manually resume the vehicle after it is stopped.
