2021 Ford Edge ST-Line price review

What is new for the 2021 Ford Edge ST-Line?

Inspired by Ford Performance, Edge ST-Line features a unique ST-style grille with body-colored bumpers, black ST beltline molding combined with lower sport cladding, standard fog lamps, and signature LED lighting. Black roof rack side rails, 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, and unique Edge ST-Line badging enhance the look.

The 2021 Ford Edge has five trim levels: SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST. ST stands for Sports Technologies and is the performance model that gets the 335-hp twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6. All other models get the 4-cylinder.

The ST-Line uses the same 250-horsepower 275 @ 3,000 rpm turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission as the rest of the Edge models except the ST. All-wheel drive is a $1245 option but will be standard as of 2022.

Base price on the car I test drove is $38,440, add in the options of the Ford co-pilot 360 assist for 895.00, panoramic vista roof for 1,595.00, and the cargo compartment net for 50.00, plus destination, and the total is $42,225.00. EPA estimated mpg is 21 city/29highway/24 combined. I got on the low-end, around 24 mpg.

Exterior, You get the ST’s muscular body, blacked-out grille, aerodynamic side skirts, and the 20-inch wheels.

You’ll find a leather-wrapped steering wheel and red contrast stitching on the seats in the interior. There is also a 12.0-inch touchscreen running Ford’s latest Sync 4A infotainment suite that all Edge models received for 2021. Ford has incorporated the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a WiFi hotspot, lane-keeping assist, smart cruise control, and navigation.
