2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe Sahara
The iconic Jeep Wrangler is adding another cult figure to its line-up; a plug-in hybrid version of the Jeep Wrangler.
The number one cult movie of all time is Rocky Horror picture show. I’ll never forget going to see the original 1975 cult classic with a live audience at the movie theater, at midnight, on Market Street in San Francisco, CA. Everyone was dressed up as an alien transvestite and carrying props.
When Frank proposes a toast at dinner, members of the audience throw toast into the air. When Frank put on a party hat at the dinner table, everyone put on their party hat. These people knew the movie and played the movie.
If a brand rivals the Rocky Horror picture show in cult-like status, it is the Jeep. I stopped by a friend’s house, and he told me that not only do the millennials adore the Jeep, but so do the debutantes. If there is one vehicle inside the Jeep that creates the cult status, it is the Wrangler. And, it crosses lines that most cars don’t cross.

What is the Jeep wave?
The Jeep has its own wave. If a fellow Jeep driver waves at you, you wave back, no matter what Jeep model you drive. Jeep has taken advantage of this friendly feature and created a premium owner loyalty program called Jeep Wave.
Duck Duck Jeep – Why do Jeep owners give ducks?
A true cult following is organic. I’m not sure when Jeep Ducking started, but it is part of the cult following of Jeep. If you find a Jeep in the wild, you leave a rubber duck somewhere on it for the owner to find. In return, the owner will post a picture of their Jeep being ducked on social media with #duckduckjeep, and then pass the duck along to keep the game going.
On an everyday basis, the Wrangler 4xe can be gasoline-free if you drive less than twenty miles a day. A girlfriend has a plug-in hybrid in Los Angeles, and she has purchased one tank of gasoline since she purchased the van over a year ago. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe powertrain integrates two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This configuration maximizes the efficiency of the hybrid propulsion components and mates them with the Wrangler’s world-renowned and proven driveline.
