When your sales are 68 percent year-over-year, you don’t want to mess with a good thing. Kia made some minor adjustments to its very popular Telluride but was wise enough to basically leave it alone. With 3rd row seating, available AWD, a powerful engine, and off-road capability, there is a reason it was named the top midsize SUV by U.S. News and World Report.
The Telluride is bold but not overwhelmingly masculine. The new Kia badging is stylish and more elegant. Only the SX comes with dual sunroofs, letting even more light into the cabin of your SUV. The SX comes with Aero Wiper blades, LED Projector Beam headlights, High Beam Assist, and LED Front Fog Lights.
The all-new Telluride features a naturally aspirated V-6 engine that boasts 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet torque. This engine matches up with an eight-speed automatic transmission and is front-wheel-drive as standard. Kia will also be offering all-wheel-drive as an option.
Inside Kia’s award-winning SUV, there is a large 10.25-inch navigation display, fully automatic temperature control, highway driving assist for the LX and S trims, and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control-Curve for all trims.
I test drove the 2022 Kia Telluride SX AWD. The MSRP base is $44,590. Add in the options of SX Prestige Package for $2,300, a towing package for $795, and carpeted floor mats for $225, bringing the total up to $47,895. Add in the destination charge of $1,225, and you’re looking at $49,120.
