A race track, a pearl necklace and a 2013 Cadillac ATS

Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, www.drivingthenation.com, took a couple spins around the Atlanta Motorsports Park, a private racing club north of Atlanta, GA, with Dave Michaels, Cadillac’s vehicle performance engineer.

Georgia is hot and humid this time of year. The flowery summer dress and pearl necklace were more about convenience and comfort, than racing. Michaels explained that because the ATS has performance systems such as magnetic ride (MR) the car will be less bumpy, more forgiving.

Hammond and MIchaels chat back and forth about the technology and attributes of the 2013 Cadillac ATS as Michaels gives Hammond a ride that had her wringing her hands and clutching her pearl necklace.
