Alexander Gubsky, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Vedomosti, The Russian Business Daily talked to Lou Ann Hammond at the 2008 Detroit auto show.

Gubsky talked about the price of gasoline in Russia and the average salary in Russia. The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States is $3.00, and the GDP per head is $44,071.

It costs Russians $4.00 for a gallon of gasoline and the GDP per head is $12,213, according to The Economist.

Gubsky addresses the issue of Putin and Russia’s oil, and whether alternative platforms are making their way to Russia.
