At an event near San Francisco, CA Bob Carter Group Vice President and General Manager, Toyota Division, told us, “compared to the average car, Prius has saved an estimated $2.5 billion on fuel in the U.S. since 2000. According to a recent study, if everyone in the U.S. drove a Prius, we could reduce our dependence on foreign oil by 70 percent. In addition to the approximately 900-million gallons of gas saved since it’s launch, Prius has also saved more than 14-million tons of CO2 emissions based on the EPAs estimates.””

Bob Carter Group Vice President and General Manager, Toyota Division, talked about how long it would take to charge the Prius on a 120v and how long it would take on the new Leviton level two 16-amp charger. Toyota has partnered with Leviton so that a customer can buy the charger at a very low price of $999.
Both Chevy and Ford are offering solar options. Is Toyota doing so?
