Bob Carter Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid

executive vice president of sales for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA)

Bob Carter talks to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, Driving the Nation, about where the auto manufacturing plant in the United States are located and why. Where will the Toyota RAV4 be built? What about the Toyota RAV4 Electric vehicle?

A clarification from the video:

The way Bob Carter discussed the partnership and the production process may lead to some misunderstanding as to where the vehicle will actually be produced.

Tesla will provide the powertrain and batteries and send them to Toyota’s manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.
The vehicle will be assembled there and then shipped out to dealers.

We also talk to Dave Lee from the University of Toyota about the Toyota RAV4 Electric vehicle. Lee talks about the prototype and production RAV 4s and when they will hit the market.
