Bob Lutz talked to John Batchelor about his new book, Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business. Lutz goes through his history of the auto industry and the pitfalls he sees the car companies making.
Lutz was working for a battery company when Rick Wagoner started talking to Lutz about hiring him to work for General Motors as Vice Chairman.
Lutz goes on to talk about design by car designers, known as the art and color section. The most important aspect was that the approval of the design went to the designer and Bob Lutz.
