Government Motors
I met up with Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman for General Motors, and now a CNBC contributor. We talked about the GM IPO on the eve of the IPO.
What does Lutz think about China (SAIC) buying one percent of GM stock?
Would this make a difference to the UAW? Lutz points out that there are many cars, made by the UAW, that are exported to China, only one, that is one car, was ever exported to the US from China. It was a Wuling and Lutz bought it when he retired.
Besides getting rid of the moniker Government Motors, what is the importance of selling the stock now?
Lutz may have moved on physically to other ventures, but his heart is still with General Motors. Listen as he talks about GM and uses “we” every time.
