Challenge X: Argonne’s Hillebrand

Washington, DC – Argonne National Laboratory is a research center for the U.S. Department of Energy’s. Argonne’s 200 research projects range from studies of the atomic nucleus to global climate change research.

Don Hillebrand is the director of the Center for Transportation Research at Argonne National Laboratory. He leads Argonne National Labs Transportation activities including Vehicle Systems and Hybrid Vehicle Development, Engine and Emissions Research, Material Research, Tribology, Thermal, and Life Cycle and Economic Analysis.

Hillebrand was one of the judges for Challenge X. I met Hillebrand at the technical presentations and he was enthusiastic about the future because of what he was seeing from these university students.
