Dr. Elmar Degenhart, Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer of Continental AG sat down with Warren Brown, Washington Post, and myself at the 2011 North American International Auto show (NAIAS) in Detroit, MI.
Revenue for 2010 was over 25.5 billion euros ($33 billion) the Hanover, Germany-based Continental said in a statement. That beat the 25 billion euros forecast by the company in November, 2010.
Continentals main shareholder (75% of Continentals stock, according to Bloomberg) is the Schaeffler Group. Degenhart was President of Schaeffler Automotive Group.
Continentals customers are the car compnaies themselves, or OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) as theyre known in the business. But Continental is starting to create brand awareness through the car buyer as well. They want to be known by the end users as well. Why?
