Florent Menegau is President of Michelin’s Worldwide Passenger Car and Light Truck Tire Business.

We met at the 2010 Challenge Bibendum, sponsored by Michelin, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Fifty-five percent of Michelin’s product revolves around car and light truck tire business.

When I asked Megenau how sales were he said, recovering. The OEMs, he said, were slow. Brazil and China had the most growth and most responsible growth. China is trying to balance growth with sustainable growth, but none of the BRIC countries have fuel efficiency as their number one concern over a tire.

Megenau talked about the fourth generation fuel efficient tire and the PZE tire specifically for the Citroen EV.
