Ford’s President and CEO, Alan Mulally, on Ford’s future products

Alan Roger Mulally, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ford Motor Company. Mulally talked to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, Driving the Nation, about Ford’s F-150 and other future products.

The same high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloys already used in aerospace is, for the first time, being used throughout the F-150 body. Mulally says the F-150 is up to 700 pounds lighter, helping the truck tow and haul more, accelerate and stop faster, and operate more efficiently.

Mulally says they will be downsizing the engine. In fact the will offer four engine options, one that includes an all-new 2.7-liter EcoBoost® with standard Auto Start-Stop technology.

And what’s the best reason to stay with Ford, Mr. Mulally?
