James O’Sullivan, President, Mazda on skyactiv and the Mazda CX-5 on Driving the Nation

James O’Sullivan, president and CEO for Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) and managing executive officer, Mazda Motor Corporation (MMC) talked to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, www.drivingthenation.com.

O’Sullivan talked about skyactiv engine as well as the 2012 Mazda line-up.

O’Sullivan talked about the new compact crossover SUV will be called the Mazda CX-5. It is the production model derived from the Mazda MINAGI Concept. The CX-5 will be the first production vehicle to incorporate Mazdas new design theme, KODO “ Soul of Motion. The CX-5 is the compact crossover (CX) in the Mazda line-up, following the CX-7 and the CX-9.

The Mazda CX-5 will make it’s international debut at the 64th IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) Motor Show to be held in Frankfurt, Germany in September 2011.
