Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President, Audi of America

Chicago, Il – Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President, Audi of America, sat down with Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, www.carlist.com

Audi is up to it again! Back in April 2008, I spoke with de Nysschen in Ibiza, Spain. All the big auto names were in the red in March 2008, losing over 18% in one case. Audi only lost .4%. It’s deja vu all over again. While all the big names lost in the double digit’s Audi managed to lose only 5%.

Audi increases residual value

Since de Nysschen has been in power Audi has increased residual value and stand-alone dealerships.

In the last three years, since de Nysschen has come into power, the used car business has grown and helped both the dealers and manufacturers.

de Nysschen made the decision not to have Audi dump demos onto dealers to increase sales.

How will de Nysschen manage in this financial downward cycle?
