John Krafcik, Hyundai, on car dealers & suppliers

Hyundai car dealers and suppliers

“This is a once every century dislocation in the marketplace,” said John Krafcik, President and CEO, Hyundai, when he sat down with Warren Brown of Washington Post fame, and myself to talk about car dealers and suppliers

Krafcik goes through the perils of a car dealer: for the manufacturer and the car dealer.

The city the car dealer pays sales tax to is hurting, employees are being laid off.

It’s a trickle-down effect that has hit Las Vegas, Nevada particularly hard. The city is disseminated, and Krafcik says the car dealers are feeling it.

What about the suppliers? All manufacturers are using suppliers, and all of them seem to agree that the suppliers need bailout money.
