Kia’s cardesigner worldwide unveil of Stinger

North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)

Kia’s chief global designer, Peter Schreyer talked about the Kia Stinger at #naias2017 in Detroit, MI. This is the worldwide unveil for the Stinger. An added bonus, at the end of the show the fastback sedan received the eyes on design award for production car design excellence.

Schreyer was smitten with the Stinger, the first Kia sports sedan that has rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
The all-new 2018 Kia Stinger design was overseen by Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors’ chief design officer, and Gregory Guillaume, chief designer, Kia Motors Europe.

Schreyer collects art, he paints, he draws, but he collects art, “how you think sometimes in an unusual direction is something you can take from art.”

The inspiration for the GT concept shown at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show was taken from elegance, long driving trips in the Alps or the South of France. A lovely Grand Touring sports sedan.
