L´Esprit des Marques, Volkswagen Group Evening the eve of the 2011 Geneva auto show on Driving the Nation

Lights, Camera, artists and cars – L´Esprit des Marques was the aptly French name for Volkswagen’s Group Evening the eve of the 2011 Geneva auto show. Journalists from all over the world squeezed into the Halle de Sécheron to see the Volkswagen Groups spectacular display of artists and artfully designed cars.

Every brand chairman had brought something special to Geneva.

Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, presented the Technology Carrier Audi TTS Urban Mobility.

Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, Speaker for the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand, presented the Multivan Edition 25.

James Muir, President and CEO of Seat S.A., presented the Seat IBX Concept.

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., presented the Lamborghini Aventador.

Prof. Dr. Winfried Vahland, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Å koda Auto, presented the concept Vision D.

Volkswagen’s newest, and best, acquisition this year was Italdesign and Giugiaro. Giorgetto Giugiaro, Head of Italdesign Giugiaro S.p.A, Stephan Grühsem, Head of Group Communications Volkswagen Group, and Walter de Silva, Head of Group Design Volkswagen AG, presented the Study Tex.

Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bentley Motors, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bugatti S.A., presented the Bentley Supersports Convertible Ice Speed Record.

Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Board of Management of Porsche AG, presented the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid.

A how many Acrobats, BMX riders, break dancers and skateboarders can you fit in a Volkswagen moment was celebrated with the entrance of the two-toned electric Volkswagen Bulli and all of the aforesaid sapiens.
