Magna Actero Air and aerodynamics

Tony Povinelli, Director of Advanced Technology and Business Development for Magna Exteriors and Interiors, talked about ACTERO an Active Aerodynamic System that includes active grille shutters that comprise a louver system that blocks front-end vehicle airflow at the grille.

There is a cooling module to reduce vehicle drag or optimize engine temperatures, which improve gas mileage and reduce emissions. Povinelli goes through the active body components, such as active air dams and active rear spoilers, which can also redirect airflow to reduce vehicle drag and improve gas mileage.
