Magna’s Actero Air and aerodynamics

Tony Povinelli, Director of Advanced Technology and Business Development for Magna Exteriors and Interiors, talked about ACTERO an Active Aerodynamic Systems that includes active grill shutters that comprise of a louver system that blocks front-end vehicle airflow at the grille. There is a cooling module to reduce vehicle drag or optimize engine temperatures, which improve gas mileage and reduce emissions. Povinelli goes through the active body components, such as active air dams and active rear spoilers, can also redirect airflow to reduce vehicle drag and improve gas mileage.
