Martin Birkmann, BMW, 550i Gran Turismo

According to BMW’s Martin Birkmann, head of product planning, the new BMW 550i Gran Turismo will be bi-modal. The trunk is part sedan, part hatchback. Watch the video – we have inserted pictures!!!

The 550i GT will be outfitted with BMW’s twin-turbocharged, 4.4-liter V-8 engine, getting 405 horsepower. A sleek design that gives the passenger a lot of viewing room. The only complaint:  the back passenger lights get in the way of the sunrrof and if you are as tall as my good buddy Jason from Automobile magazine you will hit your head on them if you sit in the middle seat.
