Mexico, retirement and autonomous carchats

Good Morning Warren and Friends,

OLA Y’all

Stretch, and I are in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the fastest growing city in Latin America, or at least that’s what Wikipedia says. We’re staying at a condominium and we love it. Our friends, Miriam and Sam, are here with us.

We didn’t rent a car and watching the way people drive down here I’m glad I didn’t. I’ll be doing an article on my trip, but if you have any questions let me know. It’s always fun to find out the tricks of the town and how to get around.

Ed Welburn is the chief car designer for General Motors. A pleasant gentleman. Welburn announced yesterday that he is retiring July 1, 2016. While I knew this was going to happen, I am sad. Ed is a friend, someone I enjoy seeing at each auto show. He is always willing to give me an unscheduled interview. Just a great guy. I will miss him, but wish him well.
