Mike Yamashita, Executive Vice President, Nissan

Mike Yamashita, Executive Vice President, Nissan, talked to Lou Ann Hammond at the 2008 Detroit auto show.

Yamashita talked about Japanese standards of recyclability and the requirements set forth by the government and the Japanese manufacturers.

Nissan has an agreement with Chrysler to make small cars for them to be sold in South America. They also have an agreement with NEC to produce lithium-ion batteries for their electric vehicles, due out in 2010.
