MSNBC: Cash for clunkers

MSNBC with Alex Witt

Lou Ann Hammond, the CEO, www.drivingthenation.com, talks about cash for clunkers (c4c) on MSNBC with Alex Witt.

The Cash for clunkers program was so popular that it ran out of gas the first week it started.

Was I surprised that the CARS program ran out of money so quickly? No, I had said from the very first stimulus bill, Let them (wall st) rot in the hell they created. If you want to stimulate the economy don’t give it to the immoral laggards that caused the problem. Give it to people that will spend the money on the economy.

Is this program a success for the government?  yes, for cities, counties, and consumers. It will also help the auto manufacturers as well. There are new cars on the lot and people will be out looking at them.

The CAR Allowance Rebate System (CARS) is back on the road with $2 billion more from the government.
