Opel alternative vehicles at the 2011 Michelin Challenge Bibendum

Challenge Bibendum

Berlin Tempelhof Airport, Berlin, Germany – I am attending the 2011 Michelin Challenge Bibendum.

Lou Ann Hammond, the CEO, www.drivingthenation.com, talked to Uwe Deller, Manager of technology communications for Adam Opel AG. Opel is the European arm of General Motors. It’s all about sustainable mobility.

The flagship of the alternative energy program for Opel is the Opel Ampera. The Ampera is the sister of the serial hybrid “range-extender” Chevy Volt that is sold in the United States.

Opel also had the Opel Meriva electric vehicle that was part of the MeRegioMobil program based in Berlin, Germany. The 2011 LPG Corsa eco flex prototype and the hydrogen 4 were also at the event.

Listen to Deller talk about Opel’s alternative vehicles and see them in the video
