Qualcomm’s CEO, Paul Jacobs, and the Formula-e at 2014 CES on Driving the Nation

Dr. Paul E. Jacobs is chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of Qualcomm Incorporated. Jacobs talked to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, Driving the Nation at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV.

Qualcomm and the Fédération Internationale de lAutomobile (FIA), showed off their new Formula E (yes, as in electric) race car. Its a global event that starts in Beijing (appropriately enough, hello smog!) next September. The electric car race runs, silently, from September 2014 through June 2015 and will be electrifying audiences in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Lucas Digrassi was on hand to show just how cute a race car driver can be.

This is not Qualcomm’s first foray into electrification. What is halo?

Jacobs was on the board of A123, the battery car maker that went under. The battery car maker that was supposed to supply Fisker with their batteries. What does he have to say about Fisker and A123?
