Rick Wagoner, CEO, GM at the 2009 Detroit auto show

North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Detroit, MI – Rick Wagoner, CEO, General Motors talked to me about whether General Motors will meet the March 31, 2009 deadline for viability.

I also asked Wagoner whether he was disappointed that the automotive manufacturers got grilled by Congress when they asked for four percent of the $700 billion loan.

There are some people that think Wagoner should leave, or made to leave, General Motors.  People may not know this, but Wagoner is revered in China. I asked him if anyone had thought about the fact that he could go to China and get a job, and tell the Chinese company which parts of General Motors to buy to gain easy access into the United States.
