Shan Long, Brilliance, at the 2009 Detroit auto show

North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Detroit, MI –

Through an interpreter Shan Long, General Manager, Brilliance, international sales talked to me about being on the main floor of the Detroit auto show for the first time.

I asked Long how much of his company was owned by the Chinese government.

Brilliance used to have a relationship with General Motors. Do they still? Who do they have a relationship with, and who are they working with to give them direction on the best way to make an entrance into the United States.

Is Brilliance considering buying an American franchise to give them a foray into America?
