Thomas Linortner on the dynamax Magna Powertrain system on Driving the Nation

Thomas Linortner, manager, dynamax Magna Powertrain system, talked to www.drivingthenation.com about the dynamax turbo powertrain system used by Hyundai.

The electro-hydraulic coupling, called PROACTIVE by Dynamax, transfers high torque requirements up to 1000Nm and is integrated in the rear axle. It split’s torque from the front to the rear based upon driving conditions. This allows for more control of oversteering, understeering, and improves fuel economy in all-wheel drive vehicles.
