Tim Kuniskis, head of the Fiat brand, North America

Los Angeles, CA -Tim Kuniskis, head of the Fiat brand in North America, talked to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, www.drivingthenation.com at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show.

In 2011 fiat sold fewer than 20,000 unit’s. According to Automotive News, Fiat sold 3,603 in November, 2012, an increase of 123% over last November. Year-to-date for 2012 Fiat has sold 40,065, an increase of 130% over the same year-to-date of 2011.

Those sales were done with the Fiat 500 and the Fiat 500 Abarth. Kuniskis talked about the new products coming out at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show; the Fiat 500L, Fiat 500 L trekkie, Fiat 500 e, a sport version of the full battery electric car.

On the Fiat 500 Gucci there were some words on the back of the seat. I asked Kuniskis about those words. It’s an old Latin saying.

The Fiat is small, what is known as an A-segment car. What’s the one vehicle people are trading in for their new Fiat?
