Subaru of America, Inc. Executive Vice President Thomas J. Doll and Tom Easterday, Senior Vice President, Subaru of Indiana (SIA), sat down with me at the 2009 New York auto show.

Tom Easterday caught me up on Subaru of Indiana’s zero landfill manufacturing plant and how well they are working with Toyota. Subaru is building Toyota Camrys at the Indiana plant for Toyota.

Tom Doll and I talked about the electric vehicle in Japan.

Subaru doesn’t have a hybrid or a diesel, or electric vehicle in the United States. Yet, they are seen as an environmental company and are bucking the freefall that many other auto companies are experiencing. How?
