Tony Hawk and MINI takes the States 2014 on Driving the Nation

What’s cooler than being at the start of MINI takes the States in 2014? Having Tony Hawk jumping over your MINI as it starts your adventure!

Tony Hawk, former professional skateboarder and actor, talked to Lou Ann Hammond, CEO, Driving the Nation, about his skateboarding career, his foundation that helps kids bring their dream of having a skateboard arena in their city and which jumps he would do the morning of MINI takes the States 2014. Hawk is known for completing the first documented 900. The 900 is a skateboard jump that involves a 2½-revolution (900 degrees) aerial spin. While airborne, the skateboarder has to do a 900 degree jump and land facing the other way when coming down than then they started. It is considered one of skateboarding’s most technically demanding tricks.
